Day 2 of 35

Today was an amazing day!!!...  I feel awesome!  :)


Today's goals were:
1.  Get up at 0830, get Ethan up, get him dressed, feed him breakfast, and take him to school by 0915.  CHECK
2.  Go to the gym immediately after dropping him off.  CHECK
3.  Do a manual program of an incline of 5 and a resistance of 5 (saw a woman do that this morning and burned big time calories!  So I'll try it & see how it goes!).  CHECK
4.  Go grocery shopping!!!  CHECK
5.  Wash the sheets on the guest bed and clean up that room a little bit (J's nephew & his wife are staying the night with me tomorrow night.).  :)  Half CHECK; I washed the sheets!



Let me elaborate on number 1...  We are usually late; usually the last person to come in the door of the church.  Today, I woke up at about 0730 and just stayed up.  Ethan was up about 0750.  Got him dressed, fed him breakfast, and got the rest of the stuff ready and we were waiting at the church for when the doors opened and we were the FIRST ones there.  Ethan's teachers were shocked.  I told them I was turning over a new leaf.  But it was just because I had some goals I had to accomplish while he was there today.  Goals really are the driving force of many, many things!!!  They sure are whipping my butt into shape.  :)


And a little elaboration (is that a word?) on number 3 is called for as well.  I warmed up for 5 minutes and then did my upper body workout on the machines.  Then I attempted that workout for about 16 minutes but I was not burning calories at a fast speed at all so I switched to the Weight Loss program on the elliptical.  It was rough today b/c my stinkin' headphones decided to quit working.  So I did the majority of my cardio withOUT music.  Anyone that does cardio knows how important MUSIC is to the success of the workout.  I did a wonderful job though:  altogether 61 minutes and burned 710 calories.  B/c it dawned on me last night that I don't work out on Sats or Suns so I really need to be burning 700 calories instead of just 500...  So that is what I am going to be doing from now on.  It's a longer workout session but I have to do it!!!  I have goals to meet!  :)  If it becomes too much for me, I will just start working out on Sats and Suns as well; no biggie!


Came in under my calories again today.  That is a HUGE accomplishment for me.  Again, allotted 2100 calories but only consumed 1707!!!  I even had four medium strawberries w/2 tbsp of fat free (ff) cool whip for a snack tonight.  Guess how many calories!!!!!...  Just a small FORTY for the whole thing!!!!  How amazing is that????  And it was SOOOOO good too!  :)


For dinner I made yummy, delicious chicken tacos out of the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook. So fast and easy to make and they were soooo yummy!!!  :)  I just realized that I did not plan anything for dinner tomorrow night.  I think it's going to be something w/lean ground turkey b/c I bought some while grocery shopping today.  Note to self:  Do NOT go grocery shopping w/Ethan when he didn't nap at school!!!!  You know better!...  What were you thinking?!?!?  It was hell!!!


Ok.  I think that's it for today.  OH!!!...  Almost forgot one of the most important things!!!  I have lost THREE POUNDS!  :)

Posted this and everything and didn't even put tomorrow's goals up!


Tomorrow's goals are:
1.  Go to the gym @ 1000.
2.  Try a workout on maybe the bike (bottom's of feet hurt from today's workout).
3.  Burn @ least 700 calories!
4.  Eat all meals at home.
5.  Do all the dishes and have them all put away by the end of the night.  (Anyone that knows me, knows I HATE dishes!!!)
