Day 11 of 56

I have worked out all week and I feel wonderful!  I have actually been on the elliptical for my cardio sessions.  It feels great to be back!!!  I am still seeing my chiro and I am so thankful for him; he has helped a lot!  Today, I completed my first 5/25 workout!  All I can say is WOW!  What a workout!!!  It was GREAT!  I feel wonderful and I can't wait to do it again tomorrow!  But boy, do the one minutes go by so sllllloooooowwww!  :)  Whereas the first two minutes in each five minute segment go by so fast!  If you have done this workout, you understand!

All in all, things are going very well!  I am one pound away from burning my first 10 pounds!  :)  I can tell a little bit in my t-shirts but not my pants (yet).

I am on my second 30-day extension for my Human Lifespan class and I still have to take my Final Exam and finish four pages of my 8-10 page research paper.  I don't wanna do it!!!  But I HAVE to...  It's kinda like working out, isn't it?  We don't want to but we have to!?!?!  I've just got to DO IT!  Ugh...

Anyways, I am just writing to let you all know that I am on track and loving my life!  :)

Plan for Day 8 of 56

My plan for tomorrow consists of:

Getting up at 0700 and going with Jason to meet a friend by the Oklahoma River.  They will ride their bikes while Ethan and I go for a walk (since the gym is closed).  They plan on starting at 0800 but Ethan and I will start at 0830 (I didn't know how else to fit my food in).  I will walk for 25 minutes.  Should be a nice one!!!

Meal Plan:
0800 yogurt w/grape nuts
1000 breakfast burrito (chz, egg, bacon, tortilla, salsa)
1200 turkey sandwich w/chips and a banana
1500 strawberries and 2 string cheese
1800 Shepherd's Pie
2030 almonds & grapes

Well, shoot!  I've just realized that our plan for going to the movies is going to mess up our dinner plans so the movies is not going to work.  Darn it!  It was going to be our trial run before "Cars 2."  Because if "Rio" doesn't work, there will be no other movies for awhile.

After lunch (and while Ethan is down for a nap), I will go to Crest and pick up stuff for dinner.

This day marks the beginning of week 2 of my journey and I am very excited to get started.

P.S.  I ended up losing 5 lbs during week 1!  :)  VERY excited about that.  I have yet to take before pics and measurements but I will do that this week.  Guaranteed!!!...

Day 3 of 56

This was initially written three days ago but blogspot was having issues at that time.  So here it is (I also posted it on my transformation page as well).  :)

I have just been so busy and tired at the end of the day to write anything in here but the past three days have been very successful!  And one of my daily goals is to write in here every night!  :)

Super Summer Challenge (SSC) - Week 1, Day 3

I am so proud of us!  We have eaten at home for three days now.  :)  I'm not saying that I haven't been tempted b/c I most certainly have been but I have overcome that and moved past it.  And am so extremely proud of myself for sticking to what I know and DOING IT!

I printed out pics of Hawaii and posted them all over the house.  I made up sticky notes with my "WHY" on them and posted them on the snack cupboard doors.  I also made up a "WHY" book with my skinny photos and my "WHYs"...  I am going to do this!!!!

I have a lot more to say but it will have to wait b/c I am going to bed now.  G'nite!  :)

Day 6 of 56

Hello all!!!

I am sitting outside, in the heat, having a garage sale...  It's definitely not as busy as I would have hoped.  Maybe I should of waited until later in the year, when it was cooler, to have it!  Lesson learned!  Oh wait...  I said I am NEVER having another garage sale as long as I live!!!  So it doesn't matter past today!  :)

Things have been going very well.  As a matter of fact, my weight loss goal for the week was to lose FIVE pounds...  Well I have lost FOUR!!!  :)  So, I am very happy with that.  I just hope not to gain any back as I have had McDonalds for breakfast the past two days and for lunch yesterday and then we went out to Cheddars last night for dinner.  Why is it sooooo dang easy to just let all my hard work go to waste?!?!  Why do I do that?  One day I hope to figure this all out...  Maybe write a book and make some moola doing it!  :)

Anyways, plan on going to the gym today as I didn't go yesterday OR Thursday and one of my goals for this 8-week challenge is to go to the gym five days a week.  So, that means I would have to go today and tomorrow.  I can do that!  Then the gym is closed Monday for the holiday so I just figured that I could get up a little early (b/c it gets so hot here so early) and go for a walk.  My back is feeling better...  I am getting there.  I think this next week I am going to start incorporating strength training in my workouts (at least for my back).

Ok.  Jason and I are going out to see "Tranformers 3" tonight so I KNOW I will have some candy and drink some pop and I am ok with that.  It's a treat really b/c I haven't had any candy all week.  Another question for you all...  WHY is it sooooooo hard to give up candy and cupcakes and cookies and brownies and all that good stuff!!!  I wish my palate could be wiped clean and I could start over experiencing food and NOT touch that stuff so I would never know how good it was!  Is that possible???  ;)
